This fall, Fresh will expand its fragrance portfolio with a new scent, Strawberry Flowers, created in celebration of Sephora’s 10th anniversary. The company is also expanding its bath and body, skin care and makeup offerings with a bevy of new beauty products.
Launching exclusively at Sephora in September, Strawberry Flowers Eau de Parfum is a fruity floral scent, designed specifically for a younger, Sephora customer. The fragrance, inspired by the scents of a typical spring morning, is composed of top notes of mandarin, yuzu and white peach, middle notes of mountain strawberries, freesia, orange blossom and osmanthus, and base notes of orris, musk and white woods.
Also in September, Fresh will debut the Fig Apricot body care collection, based on its top-selling Fig Apricot Eau de Parfum, which launched a decade ago. The collection will include a bath/shower gel and a body cream and will be sold at Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Sephora, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bluemercury.
Fresh’s fall color collection includes the Imperial Bedroom Face Palette, and a new Firebird Mascara. The palette’s cream-based colors include iridescent pearl and warm antique gold eye shades, an opalescent black eyeliner, a shimmer highlighter for the cheeks and a deep red gloss for the lips. Inspired by a Russian fairy tale and based on the company’s best-selling mascara, Fresh Supernova, Firebird is designed to thicken, lengthen and curl lashes. “Supernova gives your lashes a thick, dark and more defined look, whereas the soft lightweight fibers on the Firebird brush gives it a feathery and flirty feel,” said Alina Roytberg, Fresh’s co-founder and creative director.
Fresh has also come out with Twilight Freshface Glow, a multifunctional illuminating cream. The primer is designed to be used as a highlighter along cheekbones, brow bones and décolletage. On the retail front, Fresh has plans to open several freestanding stores by the end of the year.
This month, the company will open a location in Century City, Calif., followed by another store in Dallas’ Northpark Center in October. The company is also looking to open a store in Philadelphia (oh please, please...with Sugar Lip Treatment on top!) along with additional stores in the Northeast.

Fancy New Fragrance From Jessica Simpson

In August 2008, Jessica Simpson will add a perfume to her curriculum vitae. Fancy is the product of Jessica’s collaboration with Parlux Fragrances.
"With Fancy, I wanted to create a pretty fragrance, one that I could be just as comfortable wearing on the red carpet or every day with my favorite jeans," says Simpson. "For me, Fancy is just that: fancy. This is a unique fragrance - personal, whimsical, playful and romantic with a heart of gardenia, an essence I truly cherish."
Fancy opens with the radiance of sparkling Pear and juicy Apricot Nectar wrapped with the glow of Red Fruits. The heart of Fancy is the captivating draw of dewy Gardenia laced with the delicacy of Night Blooming Jasmine. Toasted Almonds and Caramel notes provide a playful element. Creamy Sandalwood, infused with the sensual energy of Amber Crystals, unites with the embracing warmth of Vanilla Crème as Fancy clings to the skin at dry down. The fragrance itself is the color of blush champagne, a soft pink, the ultimate color of femininity.
The bottle is a softer, more modern interpretation of Jessica’s favorite vintage perfume bottles. The rose-gold floral motif that encircles both the bottle and collar add richness and dimension to this exquisite package.
The Fancy fragrance collection consists of a 3.4 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray ($59.00) and a 1.7 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray ($49.00), and a 5.0 oz Body Lotion ($30.00). The launch gift with purchase is a vintage-inspired cosmetic case, in soft pink to match the fragrance.

80s Ladies Week: Cool Beans Courtesy of Kenzo

For the fourth installment of 80s Ladies Week, I am inspired by one of the most heinous fashion felonies - shoulder pads.
Sometime in the early 1980s, someone had the asinine idea to create these mini monstrosities. Their original purpose remains unclear…perhaps they were invented to facilitate naps on airplane rides…you know, like a predecessor to the travel pillow. But those suckers caught on, and for an entire decade, females everywhere were running around looking like cross-dressing football players. Even arch rivals Krystle Carrington and Alexis Colby shared a mutual love for the dy-NASTY shoulder pads. And as you can see, these ladies liked ‘em big.
But bigger isn’t always better…which is why, circa 1992, women came to their senses and downsized…and also why I love Kenzo’s new (shoulder pad-shaped) RYOKO fragrance pebbles.
This collection of five pocket-sized, leak-proof fragrance atomizers has become a summer staple in my handbag. If you’re a gal who likes her fragrance to go, you’ll love the creativity and convenience of the RYOKO. In your cavernous bag (I know you’ve got one), it’s a breeze to find thanks to the punchy colors. And its ergonomically-designed packaging just begs to be handled.
The RYOKO is available in five fabulous fragrances:
Flower by Kenzo
Kenzo Amour
L'eau Par Kenzo
L'eau Par Kenzo Pour Homme
Tokyo by Kenzo
My pick? Flower by Kenzo – without a doubt. I’m so obsessed, Kenzo might need to take out a restraining order.
The RYOKO fragrance pebbles are available for $29 at kenzousa.com.

Amazing Grace Giveaway!

I’m a fan of potent perfumes, and I’m a little heavy-handed in the application. Mr. Spoiled Pretty benignly suggests that I search for products with subtler notes. And every time I’m in a confined space with my mom and sister, they bluntly accuse me of wearing enough perfume to “choke a horse.” As much as I love my strong scents, I’ll admit that they can’t all be wrong.
So when I received an Amazing Grace gift set from Philosophy last week, I kept an open mind. Amazing Grace is Philosophy’s best selling scent, "created to enhance a woman’s well-being and draw people closer without overwhelming." The products smelled good enough in the packaging, but how would it smell on me? Non-existent, I predicted…I hate fleeting fragrances that last for a hot second then fade away. But I was keeping an open mind and decided to put Amazing Grace to the test.
After a particularly challenging stint at the gym, I was sweaty, smelly and in serious need of a shower. Typically, I would use a deodorant soap or body wash, post-workout. But Amazing Grace Perfumed Buffing Wash helped me get squeaky clean again…in addition to exfoliating and hydrating my skin. Even hours later, the wonderfully feminine fragrance continued to linger on. When Graham returned from work that night and I welcomed him home, he said, “Honey, you smell great.” That’s when I knew I’d found a winner.
But the true test was my sister, who I usually have to bribe for a compliment. This past weekend, I met up with my mom and sister for a late brunch and an afternoon of shopping. When my mom called to say she was a couple of blocks away from my apartment, I quickly sprayed on Amazing Grace Perfumed Body Spritz and headed out the door to meet up with the peanut gallery.
After our meal, we headed to Rittenhouse for some retail therapy…and out of the blue, Lauren says, “What are you wearing? It smells good.” OMG. Stop. The. Presses. My sister just said something nice…to me. Needless to say, Amazing Grace has become a staple in my daily beauty ritual.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the scent,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see!
I’m so wild about these products that I want to share with one of you! This week, Spoiled Pretty is giving you an opportunity to win an Amazing Grace Gift Set courtesy of Philosophy. The set includes:
Amazing Grace Perfumed Buffing Wash has a creamy, gel-like texture and contains gentle exfoliants that help smooth and soften skin without irritation. Use it daily over entire body in your shower or bath to maintain skin smoothness and hydration.
Amazing Grace Perfumed Shave Gel has a creamy, lotion-like texture, which allows your razor to glide over your skin for a gentle, yet close shave. It leave your legs and underarms super soft and silky smooth with an amazingly clean, beautifully feminine scent.
Amazing Grace Perfumed Body Spritz is a lightly scented spray which provides moisturizing and antioxidant benefits. It makes a great fragrance base, and can be enhanced by applying the infinitely clean, beautifully feminine scent of amazing grace eau de parfum to your pulse points as your 'top coat' or feel free to use with any of Philosophy's state of grace fragrances, including Inner Grace, Pure Grace, or Baby Grace.
To enter, send an email to spoiledprettycontests@gmail.com. Be sure to include your full name. The subject line should read "Amazing Grace Giveaway." The contest ends at midnight (EST) on Sunday, July 13th. One winner will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Monday, July 14th, I'll announce the winner's name. Please, only one entry per person; duplicate entries will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. & Canadian residents only.
Good luck!

Kim Kardashian – The Perfume

Ever wonder what Kim Kardashian smells like? You'll soon find out because a Kim K fragrance is currently in the works. She recently wrote on her blog:
It has always been a dream of mine to start my own perfume business, since I love to mix fragrances together and come up with new and different scents! I hope you understand my total excitement as I let you, the readers of my blog, become the first to know that I am creating my own fragrance!!!
I have decided to work with New Wave Fragrances, who also distribute Ed Hardy and True Religions fragrances.
It all started when my mom introduced me to famous perfumer Caroline Sabas from Gras, France. She and I have been working together to create a scent that is uniquely me that I can share with everyone!
I have also hired local designer Scott Oshry to help me create the perfect bottle for my fragrance.
It is in the development stages, but we hope to have it in stores by next May - Mother’s Day! It will be available in the U.S., Germany, England, Australia and Japan.
I hope you LOVE what I come up with!

In The Bag Summer Beauty Giveaway: Beach Bag

The weather forecast says 88 and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. After an exhaustive search, you’ve found the elusive “perfect” swimsuit. And you’ve picked out a trashy read, with no literary value whatsoever. So you’re ready for the beach, right? Wait. Not to burst your proverbial bubble, but you’re not all set yet.
A trip to the beach requires much more than a cute swimsuit. If you’re planning for a relaxing, idyllic day of surf and sand, you might want to put some serious thought into what you’ll pack in your bag. Because there’s nothing less relaxing than getting to the beach and realizing that you’ve left some important necessities at home.
To ensure that you’re pretty and prepared for your day at the beach, remember to bring along the following must-haves for your beach bag:
* Sunscreen: When selecting a sunscreen product, be sure to read the label before you buy. Experts recommend products with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15. The SPF number represents the level of protection against UVB rays provided by the sunscreen…a higher number means more protection. The two most common (and painful) sunscreen mistakes are using too little and waiting too long to reapply. About 1 ounce of sunscreen (a palmful) should be used to cover the arms, legs, neck and face of the average adult. For best results, most sunscreens must be reapplied at least every 2 hours and even more often if you are swimming or sweating. Products labeled "waterproof" may provide protection for at least 80 minutes even when you are swimming or sweating. Products that are "water resistant" may provide protection for only 40 minutes. And don’t forget your lips, especially if you’re a lipgloss fanatic like me. Many dermatologists say that slathering on glosses can increase your risk of developing skin cancer because shiny nature of the gloss could be making the sun’s UV rays hit harder. So if you’re going to grab for a gloss, make it one with at least SPF 15.
* Wide-brimmed hat: A hat with at least a 2- to 3-inch brim all around is ideal because it protects areas often exposed to the sun, such as the neck, ears, eyes, forehead, nose, and scalp. A baseball cap is also a good choice. A hat not only protects from the sun's intense rays, it can also cover and tame wind-blown hair.
* Sunglasses: The ideal sunglasses don’t have to be expensive, but they should block 99% to 100% of UVA and UVB radiation. Check the label to be sure they do. Some labels may say, "UV absorption up to 400 nm." This is the same as 100% UV absorption. Also, labels that say "Meets ANSI UV Requirements" mean the glasses block at least 99% of UV rays. Those labeled "cosmetic" block about 70% of the UV rays. If there is no label, don't assume the sunglasses provide any protection. Large-framed and wraparound sunglasses are more likely to protect your eyes from light coming in from different angles.
Today is the final day of Spoiled Pretty’s In The Bag Summer Beauty Giveaway Week, and we’re giving away an Envirosax bag filled with treats!
Envirosax bags are lightweight, portable, waterproof, affordable, and stylish! With reinforced seams, each surprisingly large bag can hold at least 40 pounds, and the carrying handle is long enough to comfortably carry over your shoulder. The Flora line of Envirosax bags draws its inspiration from the colors and shapes of pristine Australian rainforests.
The winner’s bag will include:
Secret Flawless Antiperspirant/Deodorant: If you secretly crave strong wetness protection that smells fresh and has skin conditioners, your search is over. New Secret Flawless gives you everything you long for — all in one cutting-edge antiperspirant.
Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara: Lash Blast's patented volume-boosting formula and patent-pending brush are designed to max-out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big lash look.
Goody Mosaic Ouchless Purse Brush: The ultimate in snagless styling. This brush is smaller sized – perfect for travel or on the go styling.
Bath & Body Works Body Splash in Blushing Cherry Blossom: Cherry blossoms blended with lighthearted jasmine, rose juliette and crisp citrus capture the romantic first blush of spring. Other notes include mandarin, lush berries, fresh melon, musk, violet, and creamy Sandalwood. Contains naturally pampering aloe vera to leave skin conditioned.
Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Soothers SPF 20 in Shine, Sheen, and Gleam: Provides instant, soothing relief on contact with beautiful high gloss shine and SPF 20. The unique hydragel formula contains conditioning botanicals and glycerin for intense moisturization. Carry this pocket-portable gloss with you for use whenever you want hydrated, beautiful lips.
Avon Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard: Don’t let bugs and sun spoil your outdoor fun this summer. Protect yourself from both the sun and certain insects with NEW Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535 Expedition SPF 30. Using patented time-release technology, it creates an invisible barrier of protection to repel against mosquitoes, gnats, no-seeums, sand flies, and biting midges. certain insects. When applied properly, users are shielded with water-resistant SPF 30 sunscreen protection. Bug Guard Plus IR3535 Expedition SPF 30 is available in two versions - an unscented aerosol and a pump spray with a Gentle Breeze™ fragrance. The winner will receive both!
And because I’m feeling especially generous this week, four runners-up will receive an Envirosax Flora bag!

Since the opening of the shu uemura’s first Beauty Boutique in Tokyo in 1983, each year a limited edition Boutique Birthday Collection of the season's most festive beauty items is created in celebration.

First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes Luscious Pink

This August, Mariah Carey will unveil Luscious Pink, her second fragrance with Elizabeth Arden.
"This scent is feminine, flirtatious and fun, and truly reflects where I am in my life now, after an incredible year,” Mariah says. "The response from my fans with my debut scent was overwhelming, and I can't wait to see what happens with my second Luscious fragrance."
Luscious Pink, a sparkling floral, has top notes of Sicilian bergamot, Ocean Breeze accord and sparkling Bellini accord; a heart of Tahitian Tiare petals, lily of the valley and pink peony, and a drydown of bright blond woods, creamy sandalwood and white musk, which has been described as "a floral melody that is as enveloping as Mariah’s voice."
The collection includes eau de parfum sprays in three sizes: 1 oz. ($39.50), 1.7 oz. ($55) and 3.3 oz. ($65) — as well as a 6.8-oz. body lotion ($28). Luscious Pink will be sold in 2,000 U.S, department stores, and will also be available in Japan.
I’m a big fan of M, Mariah’s first fragrance – so I’m anxious to get a whiff of her sophmore scent.

Kim Kardashian Answers Fans' Beauty Questions

Some of Spoiled Pretty’s most popular posts are the ones about Kim Kardashian. So this one is for all of you readers out there who can’t get enough of Kim. Today, Kim took a break from her Memorial Day festivities to answer some of her fans’ makeup and beauty-related questions. Below is a re-cap of that post (I've made some grammar/spelling edits and included links to the products Kim recommends). Enjoy!
Kristina asks:
Hey Kim...love you and your sisters...LOVE the show! Quick question: In the season premiere of Season 2 Khloe was wearing an awesome shade of pink nail polish when she "cornered Scott." Can you tell me the shade or at least the brand by chance? Thanks.
Kim answers:
It's by the company Essie and shade is called Limo-Scene.
Lily asks:
Hi Kim! I love you. As J.Lo is your inspiration, you are mine! I really would like to know what is the perfume you like the most! And for night too!
Kim answers:
I usually stick to the same scent -- my all time every day scent is Michael by Michael Kors.
Yiana asks:
Kim, I am your biggest fan. What is your diet/workout regime and what kind of products do you use for your hair?
Kim answers:
I try to eat as healthy as possible, but make sure I work out all the time. I have a trainer Kathy Kaehler who I work out with all the time. We actually just made a work out video which is simple and easy to follow along with -- especially if you are busy and don't have any exercise equipment. As for my hair, I like to switch up products all the time to keep it fresh and vibrant. I use anything from Herbal Essences to Finesse to salon products.

Men's Fragrance News
When I first heard that Josh Hartnett was teaming up with Armani for their newest men’s fragrance, I thought, “It’s a match made in heaven…if the cologne’s name is Unibrow.”
Alas, the name doesn’t have anything to do with Josh’s fuzzy lower-forehead. He will be the face of Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men, which will be unveiled next month during Spring/Summer fashion week in Milan.
Giorgio Armani said of Hartnett: “Both on and off screen he has a charm and charisma that is magnetic. His individuality, allure and nonchalant way of being are all qualities which inspired me in the creation of this new fragrance.” Apparently, Mr. Armani hasn’t seen Pearl Harbor, Hollywood Homicide, The Black Dahlia, Halloween H20…
In other men’s fragrance news, Jennifer Lopez will release her first masculine fragrance, Deseo for Men, this September.
"I wanted to capture the intimate and personal nature of a man who is sexy, yet strong," says J.Lo. "Deseo means desire. I wanted to take this meaning and put it behind the idea of one desiring another. The smell is warming and creates a provocative and sensual texture."
The fragrance has "top notes of lemon, yuzu, red berries and cedar leaf; a heart of tobacco leaves, guaicwood and orris, and a dry down of sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, amber and vanilla.”
The Deseo for Men collection will include Eau de Toilette (1.7 oz for $45 and 3.4 oz for $55), a 3.4 oz aftershave balm ($40), and a 2.4 oz deodorant ($16).

Hanae Had Me At Hello

This past weekend, I took a trip to the mall…shout-out to KOP (you Philly gals know what I’m talkin’ about). I was in Nordstrom’s cosmetics department for, literally, three minutes before a salesperson had me sold on a bottle of Hanae Mori Butterfly Eau Fraîche.
I usually spend weeks hemming and hawing over a new fragrance, and only break down and buy it once I’ve decided that my pulse points can’t live without it. Well, with Eau Fraîche, it took me approximately 180 seconds to come to this conclusion.
As I reported a few months ago, the latest incarnation of my favorite fragrance is the lightest formulation yet; this variation is airier and perfect for warmer weather. The new top notes of sparking tangerine and grapefruit lend a summery kick, but the fragrance dries down to the familiar notes of red fruits, wild berries and summer woods.
Besides the intoxicating scent, what really convinced me to swipe the plastic was the price tag. A 3.4 oz bottle of this limited-edition fragrance is only $65.
Hanae Mori Butterfly Eau Fraîche is now available at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom*, Bloomingdale’s, select Macy’s and Sephora.
*Receive a Butterfly Body Lotion (0.2 oz.) and deluxe mini Eau de Toilette (0.04 oz.) with any $65 Hanae Mori purchase - online and in-store.

The Motherload Giveaway!

This Sunday is Mother's Day, a time to celebrate the woman who brought you into the world - and the lady who probably works your nerves more than any other. In honor of this special occasion, Spoiled Pretty is hosting another fabulous giveaway!
Three lucky ladies will win the motherload - a set of pretty prizes which includes:
Stila Multi-Effect Mascara is a true multi-tasker. It volumizes, lengthens, and curls with just the right amount of building power! Experience this ultimate mascara - and make a lash-ing impression.
Stila Face Contouring Trio is a set of three shading powders to sculpt your facial features. For a slimmed down nose, larger eyes, and sculpted cheek bones use both the light and dark matte shades with the highlighter flash.
Cynthia Rowley has teamed with Avon to create two new fashionable floral scents, aptly named Flower and Petal. The fragrances celebrate the bonds between women (especially mothers and daughters) everywhere. Flower is feminine and flirty, yet sophisticated. Every note was hand-picked by Cynthia herself, creating a bouquet of florals surrounded by warm woods and musks. The notes include: Casablanca Lily, Freesia, Cashmere Woods, Warm Vanilla, Skin Musk, Velvet Woods, and Sandalwood. "I like that the fragrance is complex, with so many disparate notes, but has such a simple name—Flower," says Cynthia.
Petal is the bud to the grownup Flower. To create Petal, Cynthia wanted to take the essence of Flower and design a scent that was lighter with a more carefree sensibility. Her eight-year-old daughter even helped pick the notes that would make up the final bouquet. The result is a floral green fragrance that captures the innocent, youthful blush of freshly bloomed Lily of the Valley - and was made to be worn by young girls as well as women who are young at heart.
Each set is worth $103!
To enter, send an email to spoiledprettycontests@gmail.com. Tell me what you love most about your mom or your favorite thing about being a mom - and attach a pic of you with your mom or your child(ren). I will be posting the photos of the winners...so don't send a pic you don't want published.
Be sure to include your full name. The subject line should read "Motherload Giveaway.” The contest ends at midnight, May 10th. Winners will be chosen at from among the entrants. On Sunday, May 11th (Mother's Day), I’ll announce the winners’ names. Please, only one entry per person; duplicate entries will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. & Canadian residents only.
Good luck!

John Varvatos For Women

I don’t typically get excited about warm weather fragrances. Smelling like the beach, fruit cocktail or a bouquet of wildflowers just isn’t me. So when I took a whiff of John Varvatos’ long-anticipated fragrance for women, I was pleasantly surprised. And after a few spritzes, I was hooked.
Varvatos drew his inspiration from the kind of woman who intrigues him...
She’s an uptown sophisticate and a downtown bohemian, but she is far from being all things to all people – she is ever herself. She loves socializing in the comfort o home, going out with friends to understated gallery openings, films, concerts and reading. She mixes high and low effortlessly – shopping at flea markets, vintage stores, jewelry auctions, and the hippest boutiques to create her confident, individual and uniquely chic style. This style extends beyond her wardrobe and is ever present in her home and her surroundings. She is a natural beauty with a quiet intensity born of intelligence and accomplishment. Unmistakably sexy, she exudes a soft sensuality that is universally appealing.
Notes include: Aromatic Grappa, Georgian apricot, Damascus plum, and golden mandarin (top); rubrum lilies, Indian mango blossom, Egyptian jasmine, and Turkish rose attar (middle); oak moss, patchouli, tonka beans, and wild honey (base).
The feminine, sophisticated scent is available in several incarnations. The Parfum ($125) and Eau de Parfum ($70-92) are packaged in forms reminiscent of Italian grappa bottles. The Moisturizing Body Milk ($50) won’t hydrate parched skin, but will leave behind a delicate scent that’s wonderfully warm on its own, and perfect for layering.
My favorite of the collection is the Cleansing Body Oil with Natural Exfoliating Grains ($58). The body cleanser is enriched with antioxidant vitamin E and jojoba oil to help nourish skin; and when you want to turn your shower into a spa, mix in some of the crushed granules to slough away dead skin.
John Varvatos is now available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.

Gwen Expands Her Empire With Harajuku Lovers

This Fall, Gwen Stefani will debut Harajuku Lovers, a collection of five new fragrances. The perfumes will be bottled in “dolls” designed by Stefani, based on herself and her backup dancers, The Harajuku Girls - Love, Angel, Music and Baby.
Love is a sensuous floral with notes of bergamot, pink pomelo, peach, bamboo leaf mist, watery peony, living hydroponic lace rose, jasmine sambac, nectarine blossom, creamy paperwhites, Egyptian jasmine, ylang ylang, vanilla orchid, musk and blond wood.
Lil' Angel is a fruity floral with notes of raspberry, cranberry, blackberry, pineapple, pear blossom, candied violet, sugared rose, lollipop accord, hinoki wood and crystal amber.
Music is a delicate floral with notes of clementine, sparkling pear, jasmine sambac, sweet pea, honeysuckle, vanilla, skin musk and sleek woods.
Baby is a powdery musk with notes of freesia, bergamot, white rose, orange flower, tiare flower, jasmine petals, white musk, soft woods, heliotrope, vanilla and violet.
G is a modern gourmand with notes of mandarin, fresh coconut, apple skin, jasmine sambac, freesia, magnolia vapor, coconut cream, white sandalwood and cottonwoods.
"I didn't think this project would actually come to life," Stefani said. "The idea that Coty would let me do five different fragrances for Harajuku Lovers was a fantasy. But it really had to be five, because that's what the world is. Each girl has her own personality and sense of style. We're all saying something different with unique personalities."
Though her new fragrances haven’t yet been released, Gwen is already thinking about the future, and how she will continue to build her empire.
"I would love to have a full L.A.M.B. beauty line one day," she told WWD. "It makes sense. I've always loved doing my hair and makeup and getting all dressed up. When I have a party or an event to go to, getting ready is just as much fun as actually going out."
In the U.S., the collection will be sold in some department and specialty stores, including Macy's, Nordstrom, Dillard's and Sephora. The lineup will also be sold in 17 international markets, including Japan, the U.K., France, Australia, Germany and China.
Harajuku Lovers will hit stores in September, and each scent will be available in two sizes: $45 for 30 ml. and $25 for 10 ml. A coffret, which includes solid perfume versions of all five, will be on counter later this fall as a permanent addition to the collection, and will retail for $60. "They're value-priced to encourage multiple purchases," said Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American Fragrances for Coty Prestige.
