Today, Kim Kardashian finally revealed the mystery behind this photo she posted on her blog a few weeks ago...
"I've been keeping you guys in the dark about my big announcement and teasing you with my #karwax tweets… but I can finally reveal that I am getting my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in NYC!!!!
This is one of the greatest honors ever and I am so thrilled and excited. Now I will never have to leave NYC… I’ve officially gone bi-coastal! LOL"
Okay...you know I love Kim and all, but does she really need a wax figure? I guess the better question is why people create wax figures in the first place. I mean, what is the point? Will you go see Kim's wax twin next time you're in NYC?

I love Kim too. Many of the wax figures are the most popular people of the moment. You know they put you in the back room when your popularity dips too low (unless you're a legend). Too bad it won't be in the Las Vegas museum.
To answer your question, no she does not need a wax figure at Madame Tussauds, but if Madame Tussauds has a need for visitors, then I see why they made a wax figure for her. She is really hot right now.
I can understand the whole point of creating wax figures of those who actually made huge contribution to our society and world history, however I do not see the point of having a wax figure of celebrities that are here today and gone tomorrow.
I'm going to NYC next week and, eh, I think I'll skip her.
It is just another ego booster for her and a new feature for Madame Tussauds.
